The powerful Phoenix force has for long been contained in Jean Grey. As the Phoenix, Jean Grey wields unstoppable galactic power, but after the Dark Phoenix Saga with the Hellfire Club and the Black Queen, and Mastermind’s eventual interference, the Dark Phoenix persona is created, basically a form in which Jean’s conscience can no longer control the desire for chaos.
All in all, you had better wish you are far, far away whenever this malevolent force of destruction raises its ugly head!
